A Local or State Substitute Teaching Certificate is required.

 

Local Substitute Teaching Certificate:

 

• Valid for 3 years
• Limited to 90 days of Substitute Teaching (90 day limit waived for 2023-24 school year)
• Valid only in the requesting school system
• Requires a written request from Superintendent for issuance of permit (contact Darla Schlager 308-635-6202)

State Substitute Teaching Certificate:

• Valid for 5 years
• Authorizes Teaching in any subject at any level
• Unlimited number of days of teaching
